Formatting a Computer, Simple steps of Formatting a Computer

Often your computer is attacked by 'viruses' & your computer starts crashing & hanging. To overcome these general problem your may either Install an 'Antivirus Software' or you may format your computer to delete viruses. 

Setup Boot:

• Firstly, backup all your important files.
• Now, make a bootable CD or boot using floppy.
• For booting you may use any Operating System CD such as Windows XP, Windows Vista & so on..
• Now Restart your computer.
• Open BIOS setting, you may do so either by pressing DEL (F1, F2, F10 may be used on many systems) on your system or follow as prompted on screen.
• Now Under boot settings, Change the priority of boot device,
  
  
  First boot device : CD/DVD (Your bootable disk).

• Second & third boot devices can be set as harddisk.
• Now save & exit (F10), system will be restarted.

Boot using CD:

• After restart you wil be prompted as
  
  
  Press any key to boot from CD
  
  
  Now press any key.
• Now you will see Windows setup, let it run & wait untill it is completed.
• List of drives will now be shown to you in a window.
• Select the drive you want to format & click ENTER.
• You be prompted to select Drive 'File System (FS)', FAT or NTFS.
• You may use any of the file system depending as per your requirement. But it is recommended that you should choose, depending on OS.
• Select FS & click ENTER.
• Your Drive will now be formatted which requires few minutes.

After you have formatted your drive windows will be installed in your computer.
