What if i tell you the way to get it. of course there is a way by which you can get emails on you'r cell phone instantly. Actually Google supports SMS alert on any specious activity. To make it enable on you'r account you need to go through its settings.
Do first thing, confirm that you have added you'r mobile number to you'r Google account. Now log in with you'r Google account check out its settings. You will see hangout settings their in list. Here you can customize SMS settings that will be enabled and start sending you instant activities and messages even at the time when you are offline. Make sure you'r phone number is added to Google account else it won't work.
You can also disable you'r SMS reception service in case you don't like to get SMS's anymore. Go in its hangout settings and disable the option.
