What You Should Do?
You can improve the battery life of your windows phone by adjusting some of the built-in settings and functions that are mentioned below.
1. Go to settings. Swipe to left on the home screen, then go to the letter S in the alphabets.
2. Go to lock screen; decrease the screen time out.
3. Turn off bluetooth, wifi, NFC, internet sharing, location and data connection (found under mobile network) if they are not in use.
4. Adjust brightness according to your need after disabling the auto brightness option under the brightness settings.
5. Go to phone update and disable the automatically download updates.
6. Turn on the battery saver.
What Else You Can Do?
Wi-Fi Searching – turn it off
Settings -> System -> Wi-Fi -> Advanced -> [Uncheck] "Notify me when new networks are found" /
[Uncheck] "Send information about Wi-Fi connections to help discover nearby Wi-Fi"
Tap + Send – turn it off
Settings -> System -> Tap + Send -> [Turn Off] "NFC Sharing"
Automatic Backups – turn it off
Settings -> System -> Backup -> App list + Settings -> [Turn Off] each Backup option
Background Running Apps – turn any unnecessary ones off
Settings -> Applications -> Background Tasks -> [Block] any apps you like
Email and Accounts – Change download new content frequency to the lowest you are comfortable with
